I've now returned safely to Canada after several weeks abroad with my father. In the end, here was our itinerary (generally from west to east):June 4-9 Frankfurt and environs

As you can imagine, there was a lot of travel time required, as well as time to arrange our own travel, food, and accommodation. We usually made arrangements a few days in advance, which saved money and gave us flexibility; however, several times hotels or trains were sold out which forced us to change plans.
